The first AASE camp got underway this week at Vale View Equestrian Centre with 30 riders from British Showjumping, British Dressage and British Eventing taking up their place on the one year programme where they will work towards completing a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE).

The AASE programme is designed to help talented riders develop as a professional athlete and ensure that they are on the right path to succeed and excel.

The three day camp saw riders taking part in a mix of practical and theory sessions on and off the horse.

Riders took part in ridden sessions delivered by world class coaches including Andrew Saywell, Heike Holstein and Charlie Hutton to develop their technical and tactical skills.

In addition the riders also received a number of theory sessions including sports psychology, nutrition and lifestyle for optimal performance and career planning supported by a team of highly trained experienced tutors.

The next two day camp will take place in January 2020. Spaces are still available on the programme so please call 01672 519977 if you would like more information, or apply online at https://haddontraining.co.uk/haddon-training-official-site/aase/.
