This qualification offers employers a powerful tool to upskill their workforce, equipping staff with vital office-based skills while immersing them in the vibrant world of British horse racing.
Designed for racing organisations
This qualification provides a comprehensive pathway for businesses looking to enhance their operations by developing the talents of new or existing staff. The course has been specifically designed to merge practical office skills with racing-specific knowledge, ensuring learners are well-prepared to contribute effectively across key areas of business.
Learners gain expertise in:
- Marketing and stakeholder management: Building relationships and enhancing visibility within the industry.
- Race day logistics: Understanding and managing the intricacies of event operations.
- Financial operations: Handling invoicing, billing, and financial planning.
This course also offers exciting and unique opportunities for learners, including BHA Overview Days and immersive visits to racecourses or racing yards.
Funding support for employers
Organisations of all sizes can access this qualification. Small and medium employers with a paybill under £3 million may receive 95-100% government funding for apprenticeships. Large employers with a paybill over £3 million, the government can allocate funds to a digital Levy account to cover training expenses. Grants are also available for businesses hiring apprentices aged 16-18 or 19-24 with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
