Thoughts from a racing apprentice

We caught up with Level 3 Senior Equine Racing apprentice and Apprenticeship Ambassador, Lorcan Murtagh, who is completing his racing qualification at Harry Fry Racing in Dorset.

Lorcan says, “I chose to use Haddon Training for my Level 3 Senior Equine Racing qualification as they offer a work-based course that fits around both my job at home on the yard and my life on the road race riding as a jockey.

The course is flexible and adaptable to suit each learner and the team of experienced trainer coaches are very knowledgeable and supportive. It’s a simple and straightforward way to achieve this qualification.

I’m glad I chose to enrol onto this course as it’s now enabled me to be a step closer to making my end goal as a trainer in the future possible.”
