Veterinary Pathways Explained

Our Animal Care and Welfare Assistant Level 2 qualification can offer two focused pathways: Veterinary Care Support and Operational / Reception Duties. These pathways equip individuals working within a veterinary clinic with the essential skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional animal care and ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the practice.

What are the Veterinary Pathways?

Veterinary Care Support pathway

This pathway is designed to equip team members with the skills needed to work directly with animals in a veterinary setting. As Veterinary Care Support professionals, they will play a vital role in assisting veterinary staff, ensuring high-quality animal care and maintaining the welfare of pets and animals under medical supervision.

Operational / Reception Duties pathway

This pathway focuses on the administrative aspects of veterinary care. Individuals in this role serve as the primary point of contact for pet owners and play a vital part in managing the day-to-day operations of a veterinary practice. This option is well-suited for those with strong communication and organisational skills, combined with a passion for animal welfare.
