During National Apprenticeship Week, Haddon Training Trainer Coach, Carrie Tovey, attended an event at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH) celebrating the achievements of amazing apprentices there.

The day showcased the collaborative efforts between Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and training partners, including Haddon Training, in promoting continuous learning for both new and existing staff. Having worked together to support apprentices for over five years, we were delighted to present some of our GWH apprentices with their certificates of completion as they continue to work within permanent positions now within the NHS.

Alongside this, Carrie also delivered a presentation on our Level 3 Team Leader qualification, providing staff with an insight into the course’s structure and benefits.  The informative session explored the practical aspects of the leadership qualification and emphasised the importance of possessing leadership skills within healthcare settings. Our Team Leader apprenticeship is entirely work-based, which allows apprentices to learn whilst working within the field, and enabling them to apply their newly acquired skills in real-world healthcare scenarios. Throughout their course, learners are provided with support from our industry-experienced Trainer Coaches, offering personalised guidance and insights from professionals with experience in the healthcare sector.

Carrie says, ““I am honoured to have been invited by Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to celebrate apprenticeships and discuss our Team Leader apprenticeship. It’s a privilege to contribute to the development of future leaders in healthcare, providing them with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to face any challenges they may encounter in the sector.”
