Founded in 2016, JMC Legal Recruitment has become one of the UK’s leading legal recruitment agencies, helping match top legal talent with roles across the country. We recently spoke with Chloe, a Level 3 Business Administrator apprentice at JMC Legal, about the hands-on experience, valuable skills, and accomplishments she’s gained through her apprenticeship.
Can you tell us a little about yourself, what you do and where you work?
I’m Chloe, a Business Administrator at JMC Legal Recruitment. My role involves a variety of responsibilities, including managing reception calls, preparing reports, planning social events, and database management.
What inspired you to pursue the Level 3 Business Administration qualification?
I decided to pursue the Level 3 Business Administration qualification because I knew University wasn’t right for me. I wanted a hands-on learning experience that would allow me to develop practical skills directly in the workplace. After a year in my apprenticeship, I’m confident I made the right choice and I am thrilled with how much I’ve learnt.
What is an accomplishment you are proudest of so far?
One of my proudest accomplishments at JMC so far has been sourcing interesting guests for our podcast, The Legal Brew, for my CEO to interview. We have spoken to Zelda Perkins, an ex-assistant of Harvey Weinstein who is the co-founder of Can’t Buy My Silence which is a campaign group to end the misuse of NDA’s to buy victims silence.
What is your favourite thing about doing an apprenticeship through Haddon Training, and how has your Trainer Coach and employer supported you?
My favourite thing about doing an apprenticeship with Haddon Training is the support that I receive from my Trainer Coach, Carrie. I really enjoy our one-to-one learning sessions and she offers me constructive feedback on my assignments and tasks. She also collaborates with me to set career goals, establish personal milestones, and gives advice that aligns with my long-term aspirations.
JMC help support me with on-the-job training, workplace mentorship and feedback. They’re consistently there to support me in my tasks and contribute to my personal and professional growth.
What are your hopes for the future?
In the future, I hope to build a solid foundation in essential business areas such as project management, communication and organisational skills. I want to feel confident managing administration tasks, problem solving and understanding the overall operations of a business.
