Our Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AESE) programme recently kicked off its first camp, welcoming a new group of talented athletes. AESE is a further education option that helps young showjumping, eventing, dressage and para dressage athletes reach their full potential. AESE is run in proud partnership with British Showjumping and British Eventing and is recognised as part of British Equestrian’s Performance Pathway.
One of the standout highlights from the camp featured an inspiring talk from BBC TV and BBC Sport presenter, Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes. Known for her dynamic presence in broadcasting, Lizzie took time to inspire and engage with our learners in a powerful session focused on the importance of building a personal brand and enhancing their online presence. She shared her insights into storytelling through social media and how athletes can use these platforms to create meaningful connections with their audience.
Sarah Flynn, Head of Quality, Compliance, and Partnerships at Haddon Training, says:
“With her infectious enthusiasm, Lizzie ignited our learners’ passion for personal growth, equipping them with invaluable insights to elevate their online presence and craft compelling social media narratives, transforming their online personas into powerful brands.”
AESE offers young athletes a well-rounded education that includes both sports development and essential life skills. With expert guest speakers like Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, learners gain valuable insights from professionals in the field. This first camp was an exciting start, helping our athletes grow into influential leaders with strong personal brands.
